ABOUT
PETER BOGGIA
Owner, Moto Borgotaro
Peter Boggia was born and raised in New York City — a consummate enthusiast of wine, food, cinema and art, Boggia’s formative years were split between the gritty boroughs and the refinement of midtown Manhattan.
Boggia has been a professional mechanic for over 20 years, his formal training with Moto Guzzi Guru Chuck House in New Orleans, Louisiana. Upon completion of his training, Boggia established Moto Borgotaro in 2008 and quickly built his reputation in the European motorcycle community. With hands-on expertise and direct workshop knowledge, his brand and business quickly grew well outside his base of Brooklyn, NY.
Among the productions to his credit, Boggia is most recognized for his work collaborating with a diverse array of friends; from his partnership with Matias Corea and friends to establish New York’s seminal hub for motorcycle culture and retail, Union Garage — to his collaboration with Filmmaker/Director, Roberto Serrini on the award winning Italy in Bocca series of films.
Boggia curated and produced the groundbreaking 2010 exhibition; Italian Sporting Bikes of the ‘70s remains the epitome of curated events in New York, showcasing one-off rarities and specials from several private collections, never to be seen in public before or since.
