THIS BIKE’S HISTORY

This Laverda 750 SFC was one of the earlier fourth type; the 16000-series built in spring 1974. Numbering only 108, these 16000-series SFCs were all European specification, without turn signals or even a speedometer. It was the first of only four 16000-series 750 SFC sold in the UK and was delivered by journalist John Nutting to Slater Brothers in November 1974. This was subsequently written up in The Motor Cycle December 14, 1974. The first owner was John Frazer in England and in 1985 it was one of seven Laverda 750 SFCs auctioned in Melbourne, Australia by Peter Kendall. It appeared in an Australian Motorcycle News test in March 1985. Sold to John Paul Dawson in Sydney this Laverda 750 SFC was later featured on the cover and inside the specialist magazine Italian Motorcycles 3. Ian Falloon bought this 750 SFC in 2005 and it remains in astounding original condition. It has also been featured on the cover and inside The Laverda Twins and Triples Bible, and magazines Vintage Motorcycle and Motorcycle Trader, making it one of the most publicized of all Laverda 750 SFCs.
