The holy grail of 70's sporting bikes? The "Green frame" Ducati 750SS is truly the bike of legends, every year the prices get a little higher, and fewer and fewer examples come up for sale. With only 401examples built, every one is a valuable piece of history. Once one commits to owning such a machine, then the fun part starts... trying to get a complete unmolested example.
Moto Borgotaro recently assisted with the sale of this is iconic 1974 750SS owned by Peter & Paul Hageman. This restored example is now on the way to Retro Speed for full re-commissioning for the new owner.
Check back soon for the complete history on this beauty.

Only 17,455 examples of the R90S were built in the three model years, 1974, 1975 and 1976, with only 676 units reportedly imported into the USA. And least we forget, a race-prep. This stunning example was restored by Mark Francois (one of his first R90Ss.) Mr. Francois switched from the Chevrolet Corvette to one BMW model, the R90S, his new obsession.
Oh how I love this 1975 Sport! Restraint is difficult but sometimes rewarding. The over restoration of motorcycles sometimes kill's the character, this sport has lived and been down some roads. When I originally acquired this Sport, I did a thoughtful recommissioning — carbs, breaks, fork service, etc, and left the rest alone. Do I love the perfect ones? Of course!! But I cant help but love the funky ones — warts and all. This one is perfect to me, and man does it run.

From Laverda’s second production series, the 8000 batch. This is one of only 78 machines produced from that run. One of two (known) machines that is still in its original form. A true survivor indeed.
The 1971 Giuffrida Laverda 750 SFC # 8329 was delivered from Moto Laverda’s old Breganze (Vicenza) factory on Thursday, January 13, 1972 for delivery to Amedeo Motor in Messina, a ferry port closest to the toe of Italy, in Sicily. New Amedeo Motors e co srl still exists there today as a motorcycle dealer.
