1973 MOTO GUZZI ELDORADO POLICE
This Moto Guzzi Eldorado (Police) bike is a very special machine as it has been owned for almost ten years by best friend and collaborator Olivier Rassinoux.
When the bike was originally acquired I performed some thoughtful modifications for long-term riding and use, that was almost 10 years ago and many many miles. I did a complete top-end on the bike replacing the worn cylinders with Gilardoni Nikasil cylinders and pistons, we kept the stock 850cc displacement as we both believe in a more stock/original set-up for vintage machines. As the top-end was apart we also completely refurbished the cylinder heads, replacing the valve guides, seats, and refinishing the valves. The front and rear suspension was also updated with Wirth front fork springs in the front and YSS shocks for the rear. The result of the work has been years and years of problem free riding, very fast all over Los Angeles, Oliver is an excellent rider and can be very hard to keep up with on the freeways and tight twisties of the Hollywood hills on this bike, although this Guzzi is for sale, his beloved ‘78 Lemans 1 will be kept in the garage.

The bike carries a very very original look and feel. Olivier has obsessively serviced the bike over the years, replacing the oil and adjusting the valves every 1500mi or whenever he felt that the bike just did not have the same tight quick feel.
The bike is quick, the timing is spot on and I would say this is one of the most sorted original Eldos you will see for sale. The bike does NOT need anything, and should NOT be restored, this bike drips with character.
