1995 BMW R100GSPD new in crate

This 1995 BMW R100GS PD Classic is one of a limited number produced and has remained in its factory shipping crate since importation to Canada and original dealer delivery to Blackfoot Motosports of Calgary, Alberta. The bike features a 980cc opposed twin paired with a five-speed transmission as well as a fairing, a tinted wind deflector, hand guards, heated grips, a headlight grill, a flared front fender, a black two-up seat, a rear luggage rack, an aluminum skid plate, and a single-sided swingarm with a monoshock and an enclosed driveshaft. The Classic variant adds an Avus Black finish with silver graphics, chrome touring case mounts and cylinder protection bars, and round valve covers. This crated R100GS PD was acquired by the selling dealer from Blackfoot Motorsports in November 2021 and is now offered with a clean New York title.

The bike is finished in Avus Black and the 6.3-gallon fuel tank is adorned with silver R100GS and PD Classic graphics. Features include a raised and flared front fender, a fairing with a tinted windscreen, a headlight grille, a fuel-tank storage compartment, a black two-up seat, a rear luggage rack, both center and side stands, and brightwork consisting of pannier racks and the engine and fuel-tank guards.

Akront alloy rims measuring 21″ front and 17″ rear wear Michelin Radial T66 X tires. Suspension consists of a leading-axle fork with black rubber gaiters as well as a monoshock connected to a single-sided swingarm. Additional equipment includes a 285mm Brembo front disc brake and a rear drum.

The air-cooled 980cc opposed twin was factory rated at 60 horsepower and 56 lb-ft of torque when new and is equipped with a pair of 32mm Bing constant-velocity carburetors, an oil cooler, round valve covers, and a polished two-into-one exhaust system. The powertrain is completed by a five-speed transmission and a driveshaft enclosed in the swingarm.

Markings on the crate list the contents as a black (640) R100GS PD (0484) bound for the BMW Canada distribution center in Toronto.

Kept at the original dealer’s warehouse since 1995, 1 of the last 200 GSPD produced. Immaculate // museum quality.
